Whether we were not or consciously aware of it, we learned early on that being surrounded can help you survive in almost any circumstance. The more life’s challenges are thrown at me and the older we get, it functions as our motto. Being as a side profession and an interior decorator in our heart, we find our self trying to make a nest. We have moved numerous times and while there were some really cool settings which we have lived in only by virtue of the house itself, there have been other times as it only turned into a real home and respite by way of what we did with it.
In one of our earlier articles entitled, Bohemian Baby, we said that we have always thought outside the box and we have not just been this way when it comes to decorating our own home. While we have done work for even a friend or a customer, we step away from the standard when it comes to creating an inviting area. Currently, we are living in a fairly large space which provides me with endless opportunities to make little vignettes, which in a subtle manner invites a man to sit down, read a magazine or have a cup of coffee and feel embraced. Since we live a town in Orange County, in an Anaheim, some homes surround us. They have a good deal of character, although they are not all buffed out in decorator style, many are abandoned rather ramshackle.
We recently was Commissioned to re-style a tiny business toilet in a building which contained a non-working urinal and was used strictly as a men’s toilet. The fixture worked at one time, but was not worth repairing as it was one of several bathrooms in the building and was not needed. The building was cosmetically improved for rose maintenance and they wanted to create the bathroom one that was tiny that clients could enjoy using. We knew the customer wanted to maintain the price minimal so thrift shops were an option that was exceptional especially here. Of decorating the things, the choices are endless and there are some smoking deals when you have got a fantastic eye. Creating an Ambient atmosphere does not end with the homeowner or tenant. It features commercial settings. Your feel good barometer might not include geranium pots but allow it to serve as a metaphor. Do not let place and economics stifle your ability to feel great you are, whether it be setting or perhaps a work office. Life as we know, precede the manner by which we expect and does not always treat us, but we can nurture our soul and our spirit by discovering whatever serves as our geraniums on the windowsill.
